This Afternoon
Today we traveled into the City to see mommy's friend, Emily Gardner, from St. Louis. But first we had to take a couple of detours as we had to show Flat Stanley around. If you are not familiar with Flat Stanley, The Flat Stanley Project was started in 1995 by Dale Hubert, a third grade schoolteacher in London, Ontario, Canada. It is meant to facilitate letter-writing by schoolchildren to each other as they document where Flat Stanley has gone with them. My friend Nate from Austin, TX asked me show Flat Stanley around New Jersey and New York, so that's exactly what we did.
We took Flat Stanley to Central Park and visited the Zoo, the carousel, Columbus Circle mall for lunch, and played at one the many parks that Central Park has to offer. We took him on the subway and visited Hoboken, NJ where Frank Sinatra was born. It was a hot day in the City but we had a great time. Here are some pictures of the afternoon we spent showing Flat Stanley around the City.
