Six months and kicking!

I turned 6 months old on January 28th. We didn't do anything special for my "half birthday", but my mommy sang happy birthday to me.

I visited the Dr. again today for a check-up; that is always fun. I can't stand to be weighed because I have to sit still. I was kicking away and driving the nurse crazy because I kept moving when she was trying to get my weight. Dr. Yee said I have no signs of autisim which is absolutely fantastic! She said I am socially adept as I have great social interaction skills because I babble, make eye contact and follow the shiny light. In other words, i'm a shining star! I now weigh almost 18 lbs, am 26 1/2" long and my head is average - 44" circumference. Most importantly i'm growing and am in the 75% for height and weight. However, I have developed eczema which may be a result of the formula that I am drinking, so i'm going to try something new for a little while and see if that helps.

Speaking of babble, I now love to blow bubbles a/k/a spit. I do this especially when I have nothing nice to say about what is happening to me. I'm also starting to figure out that if I scream loud enough or cry long enough I will get my way. My parents are attempting to break me of this but in all reality i'm breaking them.

Other than that, I'm getting ready for my trip to Vermont in two weeks to visit the grandparentals. This will be my third airplane ride. The flight itself is 1 1/2 hours from Newark to Burlington. My parents got the flight for cheap and because of that I think we're taking the slowest plane possible because who would have thought it would take an hour and half to get to Burlington. Regardless, i'm not going to be stuck in my carseat for 6 hours or more as I would have been if we drove...needless to say, i'm very happy about this.

Until next time...
