Party on party people, let me hear some noise, Thad's in the house, jump, jump rejoice!
On the morning of my big party I decided to start the day with a little humpty dance...and fall down the basement stairs. I didn't too much damage to my ego, but boy did I have a war wound to show who won the fight.
Regardless of the war wound...my birthday party was off the hook! It started at 12 so we could get some serious monkey time in before all the babies had to go home and nap. The backyard was decorated like a jungle with TONS of monkeys and palm trees. We had a variety of sandwiches, and lots of BANANAS to satisfy my cravings, amongst other party fare. My parents went the extra mile and got me a swing and slide castle which allowed me and my friends to act just like monkeys. I love it!
Next it was on to the birthday cake. This time pyrotechnics were involved when the candle was lit. I wasn't able to figure out how to put it out but the wind did it for me...funny how that happened. Once again, not sure what to think of the gigantic cupcake sitting before me, I dibbled dabbled, and then shoved a huge piece into my mouth. It was yummy!! Then Aunt Casey decided she would be helpful by pushing my cake closer, so close that it landed in my lap ;) There were mini-cupcakes and banana pudding for my guests.
With a sugar high on the rise, it was on to the pool. No need for swimsuits when you could just get in with all your clothes on! That's exactly what I did. This of course called for a change of clothes. My dad thought it would be fun to put me in a dress, or rather an outfit that was fit for a PHAT baby! But now that I was all dry I was growing a little impatient to rip open some goodies. I received so many gifts from such generous people, that I can not thank you all enough. Below are some pictures of me opening and playing with my new toys. A big thank you to everyone who came and played, can't wait to do it again next year!
