Six months and kicking!

I turned 6 months old on January 28th. We didn't do anything special for my "half birthday", but my mommy sang happy birthday to me.

I visited the Dr. again today for a check-up; that is always fun. I can't stand to be weighed because I have to sit still. I was kicking away and driving the nurse crazy because I kept moving when she was trying to get my weight. Dr. Yee said I have no signs of autisim which is absolutely fantastic! She said I am socially adept as I have great social interaction skills because I babble, make eye contact and follow the shiny light. In other words, i'm a shining star! I now weigh almost 18 lbs, am 26 1/2" long and my head is average - 44" circumference. Most importantly i'm growing and am in the 75% for height and weight. However, I have developed eczema which may be a result of the formula that I am drinking, so i'm going to try something new for a little while and see if that helps.

Speaking of babble, I now love to blow bubbles a/k/a spit. I do this especially when I have nothing nice to say about what is happening to me. I'm also starting to figure out that if I scream loud enough or cry long enough I will get my way. My parents are attempting to break me of this but in all reality i'm breaking them.

Other than that, I'm getting ready for my trip to Vermont in two weeks to visit the grandparentals. This will be my third airplane ride. The flight itself is 1 1/2 hours from Newark to Burlington. My parents got the flight for cheap and because of that I think we're taking the slowest plane possible because who would have thought it would take an hour and half to get to Burlington. Regardless, i'm not going to be stuck in my carseat for 6 hours or more as I would have been if we drove...needless to say, i'm very happy about this.

Until next time...

Winter = Colds, Flus and Cough

Well the holiday are over and Winter is here. I have not been going outside much a daycare. Life has been pretty quiet for me. After New Years, we have stayed closed to home. I have had some visitors but not too many. Mom and Dad have spent lots of time with me on the weekends just staying at home or running errands.

The highlight of the past few weeks was booking two trip to add to my passport. We booked our trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. We are going for Casey and Scott's Wedding in June. Mom and Dad found a great deal on airline tickets to Grandma and Grandpa B for President's Day weekend. So instead of making the 6+ hr drive to their house in Vermont we are flying to see them. It only cost Dad and Mom $230 round trip for both of them. That weekend I think I will also get to see my Great Grandma too.

For me Daycare is good, lots of kids graduated so there are less kids in my class. I am sitting on my own and only fall over sometimes. I am trying to crawl but not quite there yet. I can roll both directions now and am reaching for EVERYTHING, so if you see me and you do not want me to touch something do not put it near me.

New Year, New Me

Well 2009 is here and I have a lot to fill you in on. So lets start back on December
13, 2008.

My Aunt Joy came with my cousin Ellen to celebrate Christmas. Uncle Chad was home sick. Ellen and I exchanged presents. Ellen unwrapped her present piece by piece, it took a long time. For me I just grabbed a hold and pulled as mommy moved the present. I got a musical Piano thing that can be used when I start to walk. In the meantime, I can use it on the floor; its really fun.

I survived my next week of daycare. We had some parties and went to church a few times to learn about the meaning of Christmas. On December 19th, Uncle Todd, Aunt Barb and my cousin Anna came. I was very excited to see them although I fell asleep before they arrived. Saturday we all got to hang out and go shopping; I got to have mashed potatoes for the first time and it was good. Sunday, the 22nd we went to the Beach for breakfast and did some shopping.

Monday, I went to daycare as Mommy had to go to work and Daddy took everyone into NYC. It was VERY cold that day so I am glad I did not go.

Tuesday, Anna and her parents went up to Westpoint while I went to daycare for part of the day and Mommy and Daddy worked. That night we went to Chinese for dinner.

Wednesday, Christmas eve, I had my 5 month check up and got two shots. Daddy got sick while at the doctors office so mommy and I waited for the Dr to get my shots. It was easy and I barley cried. The doctor did not weigh or measure me so I can not provide any updates.

Dad and Aunt Barb were sick Christmas eve, but Uncle Jeremy Thad, his girl friend Kim and her daughter Kianna came over as well as Kate and Andy. There was a lot of people but Dad was sick so that made it not as much fun. I opened a few presents including a new pair of pajamas and slipper socks with monkeys on them. I love to pull my socks off and now I try and eat the monkeys!

Christmas day Dad and Aunt Barb were still sick but they made it down to open all my Christmas presents which Anna and Kianna helped me out with. I had so many great presents. That day everyone left.

On Friday, we took it easy and met Uncle Todd and his family and Uncle Jeremy and Kim's family for dinner in. I had a good time because everyone wanted to hold me. I was so tired that night I slept through the night for the first time.

Saturday and Sunday were relaxing and back to normal for me. Mommy got sick on Saturday night so that wasn't so much fun. I continued to sleep through the night for her sake. Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa B were going to come but they had problems with the house they live in.

Monday, Mommy stayed home from work because she was sick and Casey came over and watched me for a few hours to help mommy out. Casey and I had a great time. Monday night Grandma and Grandpa B showed up.

Grandma and Grandpa B babysat on Tuesday and Wednesday so my parents could go to work since school was closed for the holiday. We had fun playing with all my new toys!

New Years Eve, we all went to Bliztburger for dinner and Mom and Dad came home and put me to bed and went to a party while Grandma and grandpa B babysat me. I only woke up at 11 pm for my bottle but was back to sleep before the ball dropped.

New Years Day, I relaxed as I have been out of sorts and did not sleep well the last night of course because my parents went out. Hopefully I'll continue to sleep through the night!

Stay tuned for what I have planed in 2009.
