Casey & Scott's First Wedding

Okay these are the only people that I know that have gotten married to each other in one week. You would think that getting married once would be enough, but they love each other so MUCH that they just had to do it twice, in a different country each time! So here's the story:

Casey and Scott decided to get married in the Dominician. Upon learning that they could only get married in Spanish and that its difficult to legalize the marriage, they decided they would have two celebrations of LOVE! Being that I am very curious I had to be at both to witness this. The first wedding was held at a Jewish temple in New Jersey followed by a wonderful reception at one of Mommy's favorite resturants in Freehold, NJ. There was awesome food (pasta) that was very yummy. I got a bit bored during the ceremony and began looking for things to play with.

I'm including a few pictures of the day here.

Free Falling into May

Wow, it is the end of May and a month since I last wrote. May went by really fast. I guess the big development this month is that I have begun to stand up on my own; 'bout time I gave my knees some rest! Although i'm a tadbit unstable, i'm still standing tall and free falling.

It feels Iike I did a lot this month but I cannot remember it all. I went to Hoboken, NJ for the first time! We visited Mom and Dad's friends who are going to have a little boy just like me. I taught them how to child proof their apartment. They have a lot of nice electronics with lots of wires.

School has been going great. I had my art fair so I could show Mom and Dad all the art I created at school. At the end of every month I bring a big bag of creativity home for them; they love to see their money well spent ;) Some kid got pink eye and I thought I got it but it was a false alarm; just a lot of green goop and no pink eye.

I have really been working on talking, waving and clapping. I got really good at clapping when Mom and Dad went away for one night to Arlington, TX to visit Jessilyn and Nolan. Grandma and Grandpa Basner watched me and we had a lot of fun!!! Grandpa taught me how to clap. I cannot wait till their next visit so I can show him I can now clap on my knees and standing up. I'm also telling "mama" what her name is several times over when I get disgusted with how life is treating me.

As soon as Grandma and Grandpa Basner went home, Grandma Kappenman came to visit for a week. We shopped and shopped to get ready for our big trip in June to the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana). We ate ice cream and went to the farm to pick strawberries and herbs for the first time. We took Grandma Kappenman to eat yummy Italian food where I had my first taste of vodka penne and lasagna - yummy! Memorial Day was spent with Rebecca tearing up my toy room.

Other than that, I've had a rough couple of days as my two front teeth are coming in. With that said, I'm sure you can imagine the creative songs Mom and Dad are coming up with. I'll give you a hint...all I want for ___ is my two front teeth (you fill in the blank with whatever you think fits best)! Needless to say, these teeth need to get here already.

I'll close for now, but will be back with a big update from overseas. Until then, peace and love, peace and love!
