No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn!

In classic fashion I did the exact opposite, I slept the whole way to Brooklyn, NY. That was a good thing though because I wanted to be awake to see the Brooklyn Bridge and eat dinner with John Bone. John Bone is the guy that bought me the awesome red Chico stroller that I stroll around looking for women in. In fact, Mr. Bone took me to see the Brooklyn Bridge and all its glory. There at the pier is an area that is especially marked for lady lookers, i.e. see my pictures of Brooklyn. But I must say, the Brooklyn Bridge is quite the marvel of creations. Maybe someday I will actually walk across it, but first I must be able to walk!

After my nice walk down to the Bridge and around Brooklyn, we ate dinner at a Chip Shop where I was charged $2.00 for a banana! This was truly my first taste of how expensive NYC is. Needless to say, it was a darn good banana for the money. I hooted and hollared in typical fashion and ate every last bite!

Everyone's Doing it!

Well I decided to switch blogs because everyone I know is on this site and it seems much easier than Shutterfly...we'll see. However, one note, you can not order pictures from this site, so when new pictures are available we will send a link to the album on Shutterfly.

In the meantime, we will continue to blog on Shutterfly as well as Blogger. Depending on how this goes, I may switch back to Shutterfly.

Can I get ah ah ah ah ah!

As my mommy is a lawyer that deals specifically in products liability and warning labels, I hear all the time about being careful. Well as we have all read the warning labels regarding choking hazards, I will have you know that labels do not come on the menu at Chiles for the bottomless tortilla chips. Recently, we went to eat dinner at Chiles. As many of you know, my daddy is a HUGE fan of chips and salsa. Secretly he pines away for me to be an addict as well. So without thinking, he breaks off a sizable piece of a tortilla chip for me, sucks on the corners to make sure they are not "too sharp" and proceeds to offer me up something new. As my mother sits by advising him that the piece offering is much too large, too late, its in my mouth.

I start gumming away with my mommy watching very carefully. Next thing you know, my lips are turning the color of water. My mommy springs in to action pounding on my back. Now pause here a moment, have you ever had two people pound on your back like you are a punching bag? Note, I have attempted to swallow something hard, can't breathe and for some reason they're pounding on my back. Proceeding on, my father says, flip him upside down. I'm looking at him with big eyes wondering why are we going to play flip me upside game, hello I have a chip stuck in my throat, not really the time for games! Side bar, I'm also strapped into my highchair so that was not an option. Next thing you know, I have my mommy's finger in my mouth, down my throat, and i'm gagging like a cat with a hairball! Well that did it, the chip flipped sideways allowing me to scream like a newborn baby taking his first breath. I continued to howl for a few minutes as my mommy's body acted like a roller coaster ride shaking continuously from the adrenaline rush. Good times!

After all was said and done, all the staff at Chiles came by for a visit. I entertained them with my breathing abilities as well as clapping for them. It's gonna take a lot more than a tortilla chip to keep me down. Until next time...Staying Alive, Staying Alive, ah ah ah ah ah, Staying Alive, Staying Alive!

Twist and Shout!

I do believe i'm ahead of my class! Why, you ask? Well the other day, I was sitting on the floor playing with a travel size shampoo bottle. A little twist here and a little twist there, the top came off like magic. For my next trick, I turned over the shampoo bottle and liquid came rushing out onto the floor...Ta Da! I now have two toys, bottle and cap, in addition to the ability to clean the floor with the swipe of my hand. Around the corner came mommy wondering what I had in my mouth. I lifted up both my hands showing her my magic abilities. She thought I was fantastic; okay not really. In fact she asked me how the shampoo tasted. I then realized that I really pulled one over on myself by washing my mouth out with soap, and I wasn't even swearing.

Flash forward to the next day, i'm getting ready to go to school and Daddy gives me a travel size lotion to play with. Even though Mommy advised him of my magic trick, he didn't listen. Well by the time I got to school, I had performed another magic trick and unscrewed the cap of the lotion. I decided that I didn't need to mositurize so early in the morning and just played with the cap.

There you have it folks, I do believe I am ahead of my time; wouldn't you agree?

Step by Step, Oh Baby!!

After much hesitation, bouncing up and down, and speed crawling, I braved the unknown and took my first steps tonight. With my mom and dad sitting on the kitchen floor, I took three steps forward to my dada. Then he turned me around and I took a couple steps to mama. Of course they yelled horrah and clapped really loud, startling me, but then I got a great big smile on my face. Then mommy broke out the Elmo song and sang "You did something new today, horrah, horrah, horrah!"

Check out my video for proof that I did it and before my first birthday! Next milestone, running after Kacie!

Hola Amigos n Familia

Hola! I have just returned from my first international vacation with a big stamp in my passport from the Dominician Republic. We headed abroad for the destination wedding of Scott and Casey. I left on a jet plane early Thursday morning to land on a beautiful island in the Atlantic Ocean full of coral reef and big fish. After a short ride to our hotel, we checked in and planted ourselves on the beach to check out the babes. Sitting under an umbrella sipping on a straw cup full of water, I played with the sand in an attempt to build my first sand castle. The evening was full of eating and drinking at the French restuarant with spanish waiters. Did you know that the French language was developed from the Spainish?

Friday was another day filled with sand, sun and fun. I took two naps on the beach as the waves crashed upon the shore. It was a very relaxing day and worked on mastering the sand castle. Everyone arrived that day followed by a rehearsal dinner at the American Grill; excellent mac n' cheese! Meanwhile everyone just cooed at my existence. Saturday was a busy day. We started with beach and babes, followed by a wedding on the beach, an afternoon at the beach, and dinner at the Dominician restuarant. As this was a busy day I crashed in the midst of dinner. Sunday was relaxing and filled with the beach and the pool. Dinner was spent with Casey and Scott at the seafood restuarant. Monday was a long day of travel and airports but it was nice to have all the attention from everyone that flew home with us. Of course i'm happy to be home, but missing the sand and water that was so much fun to play with. I'm trying to talk my parents into a pool with a beach installed in our background for my personal convenience!

Over the weekend it was discovered that my two front teeth finally made an appearance. Bananas are my FAVORITE food. When I see one I jump up and down in my chair and hoot like a monkey until I am able to shove as much of a banana into my mouth. It was quite the scene when a banana came near. It was also discovered that strangers as well as people that know me can not get enough of me. There were lots of pictures taken of me. I even stole the show at the wedding as the bride commented that she thought there more pictures of me than her taken that day ;)

Overall, my first vacation was great. I'm ready for a fun-filled summer at school.
